The Digital Publishing Company creates digital editions of magazines, newspapers, brochures—anything printed can now be reproduced digitally to be read online.

We provide outsourced production and technical services using the world’s leading digitisation technologies produced by Olive Software.

We work from PDFs. We ask you to upload these to our FTP. Just check the following.

• All pages in one publication are the same size. We can work with any size of pages, but they must all be uniform in each edition.
• Fonts are embedded. Olive needs the fonts to produces the text layer, which makes the publication searchable and creates the index. We accept that ad pages may be images.
• You send hi-res PDFs of a minimum of 150 dpi. A common mistake is to supply web-ready low-res PDFs which pixilate. One of Olive’s strengths is the ability to deliver glossy hi-res images over the images with no pain.
• We can understand the page sequence. You can supply one PDF of the whole publication or single pages. Make sure the issue date/name is clearly identified and each single page number.

We then do the rest. We create your digital edition, host it for you for one year—you just get back is a link that you can distribute via your website, intranet, email—however you like.

We charge an all-inclusive per page fee to create and host the digital edition. This fee is determined by the following factors.

• The number of pages in the publication.
• The frequency with which the publication is produced.
• The overall volume of pages a publisher provides in a year.
• The complexity of the publication.
